Environment and Climate Change Canada has issued a frost advisory for the Vaudreuil area west of Montreal, warning that temperatures are expected to dip to near the freezing mark overnight Wednesday and again Thursday night.

The weather agency says frost could damage or destroy plants and crops in vulnerable areas.

Frost advisories are issued when temperatures are forecast to reach freezing during the growing season.
