A woman is dead after being hit by a car in Longueuil on Montreal’s South Shore.
Longueuil police (SPAL) received several 911 calls at 7 p.m. Monday about the incident on Highway 116 near Cousineau Boulevard.
The woman, in her 40s, was transported to hospital, where her death was confirmed.
Officers are working to analyze the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The area has since been reopened to traffic.
