In a turn of events that contradicts previous speculations, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine will no longer be making planned visits to Armenia and Azerbaijan, as revealed by Radar Armenia.

The publication notes that the decision for the cancellation stems from Baku, although the reasons behind this decision remain undisclosed.

Initial reports had marked President Zelenskyy’s visits to Yerevan and Baku for March, with sources from Radio Azatutyun indicating a likely visit to Armenia on March 4th.

This development comes despite Ukraine’s president havinon the sidelines of the summit of the European political community in Granada.

It’s significant to mention that Prime Minister Pashinyan has openly stated Armenia’s stance as not aligning with Russia in the conflict against Ukraine. Furthermore, he recently announced that Armenia is “freezing” its membership in the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), a military alliance effectively led by Moscow, marking a significant move in the region’s geopolitical dynamics.
