U.S. President Joe Biden expressed support for Ukraine and expressed hope for better days ahead at a Charity Breakfast, reports the White House.

According to the American President, assistance to Ukraine is the key to peace, security, and dignity.

“We worked for peace, security, and dignity for the Ukrainian people as they show incredible resolve and resilience against Putin’s aggression. We must continue to help them,” said Biden.

According to Biden, the challenges of our time remind us of our responsibility as a nation to help each other secure a fair and strong world—ensuring it both abroad and at home.

“This is a calling to stand against hate, to remember the very idea of America. We’re all created equal. We’re unique in the world. We’re all created equal and deserve to be treated equally throughout our lives,” said the American President.

The president concluded the breakfast with hope for better days ahead.

“My prayer, my hope is we continue to believe our best days are ahead of us — that as a nation we continue to believe in honesty, decency, dignity, and respect. We see each other not as enemies but as fellow human beings, each made in the image of God, each precious in his sight,” Biden concluded.

Charity Breakfast

The Charity Breakfast, also known as the National Prayer Breakfast, is an annual event held in Washington since 1953. It takes place on the first Thursday of February.

The event hosts invitations extended to the President of the United States, members of Congress, other high-ranking officials, as well as religious leaders from around the world.

The purpose of the breakfast is to bring together people of different faiths and political perspectives for prayer, reflection, and discussion of issues facing America and the world.

The Charity Breakfast is an important symbol of unity and hope for many people. It serves as a reminder that, despite our differences, we can all come together for common goals.

The event is broadcast live on television and radio. Political speeches are not allowed during the breakfast, emphasizing its focus on non-political and unifying themes.

U.S. assistance to Ukraine

Earlier, we reported that next week the U.S. Senate will vote on the agreement regarding border security and aid to Ukraine.

It has been revealed that the U.S. has sent Ground Launched Small Diameter Bombs (GLSDB) to the Ukrainian military. These are lightweight, small-diameter bombs aimed directly at the front lines.
