WINNIPEG — RCMP say they are investigating five suspicious deaths at three different locations in southern Manitoba.
The Mounties issued a news release providing few details but saying they have one suspect in custody.
They say there is no risk to public safety.
Insp. Tim Arseneault with RCMP Major Crime Services will provide an update on the investigation during a news conference Sunday afternoon at 4 p.m. in Winnipeg.
The release warns the news conference “will contain details that may be disturbing to members of the media and the public.”
It says the three locations are at Highway 3 between the communities of Carman and Winkler, Highway 248 north of Provincial Trunk Highway 424 and a residence in Carman.
