Donald Trump declared that he is ready to quickly resolve the situation with the war in Ukraine, referencing his speech in Iowa.
“The Ukraine situation is so horrible… And we are going to get it solved very fast,” he said.
According to him, he gets along great with Putin, and he believes that it’s more of a good thing than a bad thing.
“Putin and I get along fine. We get along very well. That’s a good thing, not a bad thing,” he assured.
Trump did not rule out the possibility of involving not only the Kremlin’s head, Vladimir Putin, but also the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, in resolving the issue.
“I know President Putin very well, I know Zelenskyy very well, I am going to get him and we are gonna get it solved very quickly. This (war – editor’s note) should have never happened,” Trump added.
U.S. elections
The presidential elections in the United States are scheduled for November 5, 2024. According to forecasts, the main Democratic candidate will be the incumbent American leader, Joe Biden. Among Republicans, besides Donald Trump, former U.S. ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley is also favored.
In December, Trump was excluded from the electoral ballot in the primaries in the state of Maine. Additionally, the Supreme Court of the state of Colorado also prohibited Trump from participating in the primaries on its territory. However, Trump won the Republican Party’s internal elections in Iowa.
